Phone Frequently Asked Questions
What Phone service does ONEseniors offer? ONEseniors offers three HomePhone Plans which are all a full phone service, which is bundled with our broadband or dial up plans. Each HomePhone plan includes line rental, local, national, international and home to mobile calls. You choose which HomePlan suits your needs.
Please check the features available with each plan and the associated call costs for each HomePhone Plan.
How reliable is the ONEseniors phone service?
Our phone service uses the same network used by most other Australians and operated by Telstra. This means that instead of Telstra charging you for your phone service, ONEseniors can now do this for you.
Be assured that you can expect
the same reliability and integrity of the phone services you have used to connect with in the past, plus access to a faster internet service at a reduced rate.
Can I select phone for just my local calls and line rental?
No, our Broadband Plans are only offered with phone full service, including line rental plus local, national, international and home to mobile calls. What if I no longer want a phone service with ONEseniors?
If you decide to no longer use our phone service, please contact your new service provider and they will initiate the transfer of your line. If you have a bundled service with ONEseniors for your Broadband and you do not wish to change from ONEseniors for your Internet, you will not receive any of the benefits of bundling including the discounted Broadband fees. Do you offer disability equipment including TTY phones or discounts?
We are able to bill for basic rental of disability equipment including TTY phones. If you rent this equipment from your current provider we can continue to bill you, but please note that we do not currently participate in any subsidy programs under the Disability Equipment Program and therefore an unable to offer a discount at this time. We recommend that customers with specific disability needs (including TTY equipment) consider these facts before applying for a phone bundle. Should I use override codes with the ONEseniors phone services?
There is no need to use any override codes and we do not recommend the use of override codes with our phone services. As our phone rates are so competitive use of override codes may incur higher charges than standard phone rates.
Is there anything else not provided with a ONEseniors HomePhone Service?
If you already have existing services or features on your phone service with your current provider when you chose a ONEseniors HomePhone service all your features and services will remain.
There is only one exception and that is 'Message Bank 101' can not be offered by ONEseniors.
